As with the 10 years of austerity, which was justified by the Tory-led coalition Government's economic plan they said was unavoidable if we are to ensure future generations don't pay for the mistakes we make today, and which has impoverished millions of people in this country, so the Covid-19 pandemic and the state of our NHS and social care; will be used as an excuse to continue with austerity. Of course so too will Brexit enable the Tories to inflict more economic harm on the country as their political dogma of privatising everything, including the NHS get's are large boost via a trade deal with the USA. But if we are indeed all in this together then a justifiable focus must of course now turn to the rich of this country:
Of course waiting for politicians to ask this question is useless. We can't even get an answer with regard to the true situation over ventilators. Just were are the thousands of ventilators promised by billionaire James Dyson, and why on earth is he 'selling them' to the NHS instead of gifting them? Perhaps all of the above rich and especially the billionaires, can be expected to make sacrifices for the good of the NHS and social care in the UK, by our MPs and more importantly by the Government writing to each of them to suggest they made offers of support and help in what ever way they can, cash, goods and equipment.
